Hone your calligraphy and drawing skills by drawing letterforms with graphite and colored pencils in a simple book we will make for the exercises. All levels.
Supply List:
2 sheets - 11 x 14" Drawing paper (Strathmore Drawing 400 Series is excellent) Copy Bond or sketchbook paper
6-10 sheets or a sketchbook pad (approx. 8.5 x 11") OR, if you purchased a pad of the drawing paper for the first item above, you can use that.
1 sheet Blue graph paper, 1/8" squares with 1" square heavier lines
Graphite pencils - HB, 2B
Pencil sharpener (hand-held or battery operated)
0.5mm mechanical pencil with HB or B polymer lead (most come with HB)
Eraser (Pentel click eraser is great)
Ruler
1 - 2 sheets of Tracing paper
X-acto knife
Small cutting mat
Colored pencils (artist-quality); one each of the primary and secondary colors: red, blue, yellow, green, orange, violet, and white
(the 12-color Prismacolor/Premier basic set includes these, plus a few others).
Colored paper (approx. 9 x 12") Canson Mi-Tientes Felt gray or oyster or other mid-toned colored paper
Optional supplies:
Bone folder
Notepaper and pen or pencil for note taking
Embossing tool
Drafting Dots, drafting tape, or wall safe tape
Loctite Fun-Tak Mounting putty , 1/2 stick
Eraser shield
4B graphite pencil
Additional artist-quality colored pencils you may have.
